We became Chefs for a day!
Thanks to your support, our children had the incredible experience of cooking and dining at one of Australia’s best restaurants, Cho Cho San in Sydney’s eastern suburbs during Vacation care. The children learned many new skills, from kneading dough for creating mini doughnuts, to filling dumplings and carefully crimping the pastry. They learned how to work as a team and how to use new kitchen tools. We became Chefs for a day!
Thanks to you!
Summer Vacation Care
The Summer Vacation Care is up and running with plenty of momentum. It is the first time since April 2021 that we have been able to offer excursions to our children, and they are having a great time exploring the many great sites and activities that Summer in Sydney has to offer.
How Ben discovered his love of reading
Ben started the year without being able to read, nor could he sound out the alphabet. He made a few trips into the Homework Room in early 2021, before he began to avoid it and the frustrations that came with reading. As the year went on, Ben started to develop a really strong interest in reading. By term four, Ben had become a passionate reader. His new passion and ability for reading has really lifted the spirits of all of our staff and he is now a regular borrower from our Homework Room library.
