At The Girls & Boys Brigade, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive. For more than 140 years, we have worked alongside children, young people and families to create opportunities, strengthen connections and provide support when it is needed most.
Now, for the first time, we are bringing the impact of that work together in one place.
We are proud to share The Girls & Boys Brigade’s first Impact Report, a milestone that reflects two years of learning, measuring and reflecting on how we can better understand and demonstrate the difference our work makes.
More than numbers
Behind every statistic is a child, a young person or a family with their own experiences, challenges and aspirations. Our programs aim to provide more than immediate support. They create opportunities for learning, build confidence, strengthen relationships and help families navigate complex circumstances.
Measuring these outcomes is not always straightforward. Meaningful change takes time, trust and consistent care, and not every success can be captured in a number. However, understanding our impact helps us recognise what is working, identify opportunities to improve and ensure our resources are making a meaningful difference.
Our first Impact Report brings together the stories, achievements and outcomes that demonstrate the value of this work, while providing a foundation for us to continue learning and growing.
A community effort
None of this happens in isolation. Our dedicated staff and volunteers bring our programs to life through their commitment, compassion and care for the people we serve.
Just as importantly, our supporters make this work possible. Every donation, partnership and act of generosity contributes to creating opportunities for children and families across our community.
